The labels
Each label carries the Spirits’ Gardens tree within a ring of fine ornament, and beneath it a name in Armenian capitals. Each is marked 40% and 500 ml.
The four labels are printed in four colours — plum, green, a darker green and violet — but share one arrangement: emblem, house name, then the name of the oghi.
Reading the names
Օղի — oghi — is the Armenian word for vodka, and it is printed on all four. The word before it names each one: ձմերուկ, watermelon; խնձոր, apple; վայրի տանձ, wild pear; լիմոն, lemon.
The names are printed in Armenian only; the translations here are ours.
