DA

The label

Two letters lead the label: DA, cut in heavy ornamental capitals at its head.

Around them the illustration fills the label: antlers and knotwork, a bearded mask beneath a patterned helmet, a bird’s head and a horned beast at the edges, and circular sigils set into the dark blue ground.

Below, in plain type, the dedication. Its last two words, LAST DROP, are printed white on a red panel. The name Spirits’ Gardens runs down the left edge.

The occasion

DA is a flavored whiskey made for the DataArt Armenia winter party. It was not a company order: the owner of Spirits’ Gardens, then an employee of DataArt Armenia, prepared it and brought it to the party.

In the photograph, at least five bottles stand together, each under a black capsule and each with the same label.
